Art works, in whatever medium, always take my breath away with the originality and diversity of a creative person's vision and with the immediacy and soul of what they've made with their own hands and hearts.
Contemporary quilt artists, working with fabric and thread, transform a practical task going back centuries, begun in need and developed into a decorative art form, have taken quilts past the traditional patterns to which we are accustomed to places we do not expect.
Here is a small sample of the extraordinary works of Eileen Williams, helping us to get into a good night mood with "Blue Moon," "Moonlight Through the Pines" and "A Little Moonlight." To me, as with all artists I enjoy, she gives us the gifts of beauty, joy and peace to soothe our minds and hearts.
